Current Music: Machinae Supremacy - Rise
Shishah will be smoked. Copious amounts of alcohol will be consumed.

The days I have free are the 21st, 22nd, and 23rd.  Whoever is interested, lets work on hammering out an evening for this.

I will provide lemon and strawberry shishah.  I will also have lots of PBR on hand.  Anything else (legal) you want to bring is up to you and completely welcome.  Nobody drives home drunk.

Jun. 26th, 2008 @ 06:22 pm Officially moving west! July 9th
Current Music: Grip Inc. - The Prophecy
On July 9th, Chellie and I will be leaving Moscow for good and moving our belongings west for an overnight stay at my parents' house.  On the 10th, we move into our apartment in Mukilteo.

Soooo, anyone who is free that day, and would like to give a hand, help would be greatly appreciated.  It won't take more than a couple hours.  Time will be determined by availability, it will be on a Thursday.

May. 18th, 2008 @ 11:49 pm Moving back to Everett
Current Music: Silent Dream - Rhapsody of Fire
As many of you know, Michelle and myself are moving to Everett in mid-July.  However, the plan to roommate with Khoa and his wife may have fallen through.  So is there anyone out there looking to roommate?  I have a small list of other people to go through, but having more options would be a good thing.  We'll be securing a place in mid-June, when we go back to visit for Jake's wedding.

Thanks.

Oh yeah, and GTA IV rocks.  Anyone with live needs to hook up and play it with me sometime.

Feb. 23rd, 2008 @ 06:38 am I give up. I need advice from computer experts.
Current Music: Burnt Offerings - Testament
I want to get a new mainboard.  Problem is, I don't have a damn clue what to get.  Stuff has changed so much over the last 6 years that most of the numbers mean nothing to me.  So I'll make a list of what I want... and you guys can help me out :)

1.  Intel chipset (socket 775?  I guess?)
2.  PCI Express x16 video card support (I prefer NVIDIA chipsets)
3.  8gb ram support (on 4 slots of DDR2)
4.  4-6 internal SATA support (6 preferred)
5.  IDE support (only need 1)
6.  Full size ATX, of course.  None of that micro shit.
7.  I'm trying to keep my mainboard/CPU combo under $300.  I'd rather get a better mainboard and skimp on the CPU if it means I can have a lot of room to upgrade the CPU later.
8.  I'm not an overclocker, so I don't really care about the overclock abilities.  I want my stuff to last for as long as possible.

Now for my other questions:
a.  I've heard about "SLI" and "Crossfire" for both NVIDIA and ATI, respectively.  Apparently with this, you can hook up 2 video cards?  Is this worth it?
b.  Do all mainboards have USB support?  I don't mean the hardwired ones that go through the assessory panel on a mainboard, but the ones you plug those 9 pin connectors in for.  Reason I ask is because I have a card reader I really want to use, and that is how it connects.
c.  What the hell is the difference between Core 2 Quad / Quad-core / Core 2 Extreme / Core 2 Duo / Pentium D / Pentium 4 / Celeron D?

Thanks!

Feb. 10th, 2008 @ 10:27 am Radio show and stuff
Current Music: Therion - Gothic Kabbalah
So I have another show at 3pm - 5.30pm today.  If anyone wants to listen, you can do so here.

I went to the Republican caucus yesterday, found out that my name had been purged from the voter rolls.  Last time I voted was in 2004.  I didn't think they'd drop your ass that quick.  So to make it short, I was unable to vote in the caucus.  As a result, my precinct is sending 1 Ron Paul delegate and 3 McCain delegates to county, instead of 2-2.  I would have been one of them.

I also decided to start playing NationStates again.  It's kinda fun.  Created Camperstan, and brought Camperland back.  There's a place on the website you can go and request your old nation get restored.  I formed the region Ginnungagap.

Current Music: Apocalyptica - Pray!
My first radio show is going to be this Sunday from 3pm - 5.30pm.  It's going to be awesome.  I get to compete with the Superbowl for listeners!  But anyways, if you aren't watching the game you should tune in, or at least during half time.  It's played on 89.3 KUOI.  For those not in the Moscow area, it can be streamed on www.kuoi.org

I'm currently compiling my playlist.  Let's see how many times I fuck stuff up :)

Current Music: Watain - Dead but Dreaming
Starting in mid-January, it looks like I'm going to have a radio show.  Either 2 or 3 hours once a week, late night.  I'll be playing symphonic metal for the most part, with some power metal thrown in.  I'll probably also devote an hour of the show to playing some stoner rock as well, since metal and stoner rock actually have quite a bit in common.  I really haven't decided yet.

I just need to come up with a name for it.  Any suggestions?  I was thinking maybe "Metal Spike", but that seems kind of gay.

*edit 18-December*
I decided to go with a format of the first half of the show being melodic/symphonic/progressive metal, while the latter half will be thrash/speed/death metal.  I'll put on the stoner rock if I sub in for someone else's show.

Current Music: Metric - Dead Disco
I'll be in Everett from the 20th of this month through the 4th of January.

I expect bars, booze, bitches, and board games.

Brent, my sister, and myself are going out to bars on the evening of the 21st, would be cool to get a group out there.

Anyone up for some shooting while I'm in the area?

Dec. 6th, 2007 @ 05:41 pm Greatest Delivery Story Ever!
Current Music: Grand Ole Party - Shot in the Alley
Last night, around 12:30am, I was out delivering.  I got a text message from an unknown number, it read:
"Hi. U delivered pizza to my dorm earlier. in front of wallace. ur cute. u single?"

To which I reply:
"Yeah... what was your name again?" (I deliver to that place several times a night)

To cut to the chase, her name was Jordan and I ended up bringing her home after I got off work.  We watched Big Trouble in Little China before going to my room.

Booya!

Current Music: The Cure - The Figurehead
Yet another long absence from posting, and all I feel like doing is making a list of what I've been up to.

1.  Got a new roommate, cool guy.

2.  Bought another car, 1990 Nissan Sentra XE.  5 speed stick, 160k miles, 4 door sedan.  Need to replace the timing chain and possibly the timing belt cover.  Paid $400, and the parts I need are about $200.  So all in all, I got a really sweet running car for $600.  No, the firebird is not going away, just being reserved for highway driving.

3.  Bought an XBOX 360, got a pretty good deal on it.

4.  Registered for my last WSU course next semester.  History 469.  I just need to finish that damn degree.

5.  You guys really need a John's Alley over in Everett.  Hell, if I had any money I'd be really tempted to start something like that up, it would be a hit.

Nov. 12th, 2007 @ 03:40 am Music News!
Current Music: Joy Division - Shadowplay
First of all, Nightwish released a new album recently.  Titled "Dark Passion Play," it features their new singer.  I have yet to listen to it, but from the clips I heard on their Myspace page it seems pretty decent.  Their new singer looks kind of creepy.

Monster Magnet released a new album this month, titled "4 Way Diablo." I have not had a chance to listen to it, but hopefully I will very soon.

Tristania found a new singer.  Some girl from Italy.  I saw a video with her singing a few parts to some of their songs, and I'm not really sure about her.  She definitely has a different voice than Vibeke Stein (old singer) had.  Maybe I'll just have to wait until they actually write some songs with her voice in mind before I jump to conclusions.

I'm on hard mode now with Guitar Hero 3... hopefully I'll be able to beat it within a couple weeks and start on expert.

I've also started a fairly large project, picking my favorite song of each year from 1960 to present.  I don't expect this to be done for a while, it will definitely take some thought.
